Celiac Disease

  • A new article is in the World Journal of Gastroenterologpublished, about Celiac disease " Medical News Today" ; A research article published in the World Journal of Gastroenterology addresses this problem. Hungarian researchers from the University of Debrecen in Debrecen and the Semmelweis University in Budapest have shown in a well-characterized CD cohort that the anti-glycan antibody positivity is a common feature of celiac disease at the time of diagnosis and is lost after long-term gluten-free diet.

Study; Gluten-free Diet Reduces Bone Problems

  1. The symptoms can diverse being, by the gluten allergy. One gluten free diet with children, the complaint of a bone disease ; However, evidence suggests that a gluten-free diet (GFD) promotes a rapid increase in bone mineral density that leads to complete recovery of bone mineralization in children. A GFD improves, although rarely normalizes, bone mineral density in adults. Children may attain normal peak bone mass if the diagnosis is made and treatment is given before puberty, thereby preventing osteoporosis in later life.

Is a gluten free diet good, for your health?

  1. It gives no medication, what the celiac disease and gluten intolerance to cure. The question is entitled, is a gluten free diet good for your health?
  2. Celiac disease causes intestinal damage that's visible on a biopsy. Gluten sensitivity, meanwhile, may cause some of celiac disease's gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms -- diarrhea, gas, bloating, vomiting, and constipation -- but not intestinal damage. There's no evidence that gluten sensitivity will one day turn into celiac disease, so avoiding gluten is more about reducing present symptoms than preventing future damage.

Wheat allergy

  1. What is a wheat allergy, what for symptoms has the wheat allergy?
  2. People with a wheat allergy have an abnormal immune system response to at least one of the proteins that exist in wheat. It is one of the most common childhood food allergies, but may affect adults as well. The person with a wheat allergy has developed a specific antibody to a wheat protein, and sometimes more than one.

  5. Another topic too the wheat allergy and the RA should not even be familiar to anyone! ; There appears to be an association of autoimmune rheumatoid arthritis (ARA) both with GSE and gluten allergies[25]. ARA in GSE/CD may be secondary to tTG autoimmunity. In a recent study in Turkey, 8 of 20 ARA patients had wheat reactivities on the RAST tests.
  6. " Wheat allergiy " wikiepedia ;
  7. Study " Arthritis Today " ; Most studies have focused on antibodies (proteins that attack and destroy foreign substances) in the blood, but that focus may have been wrong. Food-related antibodies may show up in the gut – rather than the blood – of people with RA, and that’s just where researchers at the University of Oslo, Norway, looked.

Molecule thymic stromal lymphopoietin = TSLP

  1. " Science Daily " Switch Turns on Allergic Disease in People
  2. A new study in human cells has singled out a molecule that specifically directs immune cells to develop the capability to produce an allergic response. The signaling molecule, called thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), is key to the development of allergic diseases such as asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), and food allergy.

Wheat Allergy

  1. Although, because the NHS allergy services are so poor, accurate figures for the number of people who are truly allergic to food are hard to come by, it is unlikely to be more than 5% of the population at the most. Since wheat allergy is relatively rare compared to, say, milk or peanut allergy, this would mean that there were a very small number indeed of people who are genuinely ‘allergic’ to wheat.

In the Finnish population, has doubled the number of gluten intolerance. As you can read now in a recent report, the number has doubled in the last 20 years.

"We've already seen a similar trend emerge earlier on where allergies and certain autoimmune disorders are concerned. Screening has shown that gluten intolerance occurs in 1.5 per cent of Finnish children and 2.7 per cent of the elderly. The higher figure for older people is explained by the fact that the condition becomes more frequent with age," says Professor Markku Mäki. Mäki has set up an internationally acclaimed research team on gluten intolerance, developing screening tests for gluten intolerance. Mäki is head of a research project in the Academy of Finland's Research Programme on Nutrition, Food and Health (ELVIRA)
